The State of Kerala, one of the states in the Republic of India, was officially taken place in the history of India in 1956 People of Kerala can say with proud that they have their own language, literature and a heritage of disticnt culture We came to United Kingdom as a workforce for the Health Sector.

Having realised the importance of establishing a common forum where people of Kerala can come together irrespective of caste , creed and religion to know each other and work together with local people to maintain social harmony.

After discussing with people of different disciplines, especially people of Kerala, formed an association, by the name of Manchester Malayalee Cultural Association (MMCA), was inagurated by Mr.Paul Goggins MP of Wythenshawe and Sale East on 19th July, 2003 at St Antony's Primay School MMCA aims to promote and encourage each other especially children in developing their skills, talents and potentials.Therefore, utilising their energy to creative and useful initiatives and to become a role model to the society.

Let us hope that MMCA will be an inspiration for everyone & act as a role model to all other associations in Manchester
